Be inspired at the Cambridge Festival of Ideas

With Cambridge being notorious for its academic environs, what better location for a Festival of Ideas?

Run by the University of Cambridge, this year’s Festival Of Ideas – the seventh time it has taken place – will run from 20 October until 2 November, and features a mix of talks, performances, films, exhibitions and other creative displays. There are events for all ages (and it runs over half-term too!), from talks about designing dolls’ houses to an opportunity to view rarely seen artefacts at the city’s many museums.

The Cambridge Festival of Ideas was established in 2008 with the aim of encouraging the public to explore the arts, humanities and social sciences, meet academics and students, and engage with the University a wide range of events, many of which are free to attend. It serves as a companion event to the hugely popular Cambridge Science Festival.
