Trafford highlights
On the Old Trafford, Trafford Park and The Quays trail, you will hear about many of the area’s major historical highlights, including:

Old Trafford
One name, but two venues. Learn about the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club and, not far away, the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ – the home to Manchester United Football Club.

The Manchester Ship Canal
The walk takes you over this historic industrial thoroughfare, which helped Manchester achieve its reputation as a centre of industry in the late 19th Century.

The Imperial War Museum North
Designed by Daniel Liebeskind, the disorientating museum follows the theme that war shapes lives, through a series of permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Factory heritage
This area was once – and in many cases still is - the British base of many well-established brands, such as Kelloggs, Rank Hovis and Vickers – and these building still stand.

The Lowry Centre
Representative of the regeneration that has taken place in the area, the Lowry Centre comprises two theatres, an art gallery, a restaurant, a shop, and conference areas.
